1. Open up Photoshop and go File > New.
2. View the toolbar and click on the Type Tool.
3. Now type whatever you want. You can change the font, text size, etc.
4. After you have completed that click on the Magic Wand Tool. Make sure your settings are like mine.

5. Now click anywhere in the canvas, except on the text and you should have running ants.
6. Click on Select > Inverse
7. Click on Select > Modify > Expand …

8. A window should pop up and you can put in whatever you want but I’m going to put in 2. Click OK

9.Now make a new layer, name it ‘stroke 1′ and drag ‘stroke 1′ so it’s under the text layer.

10. Select the Paint Bucket Tool, select a colour you want and make sure you’re on layer ‘stroke 1′. Click within the text and the layer ‘stroke 1′ should be filled. Now you can stop here if you just want one stroke, just go Select > Deselect to see how your storke looks like without the moving ants. Now if you want more strokes then continue reading.
11. Make sure you’re on layer ‘stroke 1′ and repeats steps 5 – 10 but this time when you make a new layer name it ‘stroke 2′ and drag that layer underneath ‘stroke 1′. So basically the smallest stroke should be at the top and the largest stroke at the bottom.
Now I decided to make 3 strokes and this was my result. Remember you can also use the gradient tool and change how much you want to expand your stroke.
